Instagram CEO responds to criticism of the format from Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and others
The CEO of Instagram has responded after some A-listers voiced their displeasure with the most recent upgrade to the platform.
Adam Mosseri addressed the criticism Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and many other users had voiced after spotting an update to the app in a video that was shared on Twitter on Tuesday.
A day after the renowned sisters sent the identical message on their individual Instagram accounts, Mosseri released a roughly two-and-a-half-minute video.
Stories on Instagram that state, "Make Instagram once more Instagram. (Stop attempting to be TikTok; all I want to see are adorable pictures of my buddies.)"
Mosseri stated in his video that Instagram is "experimenting with a variety of various modifications to the app" and as a result, is receiving "a lot of complaints."
Mosseri addressed the full-screen version of the app, the worry that photographs are being supplanted by videos."
He further said,"Criticisms about the app's suggestions in users' Feed in an effort to "clarify a few things."
Mosseri explained,"A more immersive and enjoyable experience could be had by viewing photographs and videos in full-screen mode."
While Instagram will continue to promote images, according to Mosseri, they do think that videos are the way of the future.
