Report on Arsenal: The Gunners' pursuit of Oleksandr Zinchenko faces one obstacle.

According to rumours, Arsenal and Manchester City have reached an agreement on a transfer cost for Oleksandr Zinchenko.

With the additions of Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos, and Matt Turner this summer, the Arsenal have already strengthened their roster.

However, Mikel Arteta is eager to bolster the squad before the transfer market closes at the beginning of September, so their work is far from done.

The Gunners have made Zinchenko a top target, and City(opens in new tab) are open to negotiations.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer insider claims that the two teams agreed a deal over the weekend.

The former Ufa star, who went to the Eithad Stadium in 2016 following the European Championship, will be signed by Arsenal for £30 million.

Zinchenko spent six years in the northwest of England, where he had great success, winning four Premier League championships, four League Cups, and an FA Cup.

Although Pep Guardiola mostly used the 25-year-old as a left defender, his natural position is in the middle of the park.

In the upcoming season, Zinchenko will probably return to playing in the middle of the field for Arsenal.

The player's personal terms must first be agreed upon by the Gunners, while pay discussions are still ongoing.

Arteta will want to complete the transaction as soon as possible so that Zinchenko can practise with his new teammates for a few weeks before the Premier League season begins.
